  5. Hi Mark!

Just wondering, did you buy the 70-200 f4L non IS?
I’m considering it but can you tell me from experience since you used it when shooting YOG, if it’s hard to shoot with because of the lack of IS?

    Regards,
    Jiong Wei

    • Hi Jiong Wei,

I got the 70-200 f4L from my sch actually. Haha. Overall it still works fine, with sharp img quality. However, ISO might have to go 1600, or even 3200. (cos it’s max is, well, at f/4.)

Ideally speaking, an IS version is necessary, just like the case of sports fotojournalism. Also, get yourself an monopod, it can stabilise better.

All in all, if you can afford the 70-200 f/2.8, tt’s even better. capturing sports at 1stop faster shutter speed. (from 1/250 on f4 to 1/500 on f2.8 etc.) thereby freezing the subject better.

      hope this helps.

      Mark
